Masterwork

Taiga Urushibata and Isao Omachi do masterly work on two masterpieces

This work was successfully selected for the Kokufu Exhibition about a year after its reworking. The change of angle may be seen in the rich fullness of the branches, emphasising the new position of its trunk.

In 2019, the strong rising trunk has an ideal movement that continues through to the tenjin on the left. The carving of this tenjin is very tasteful. The foliage pads create a powerful silhouette for the tree, but also possess elegance with their open spaces.
